It has been confirmed that, after five years as Nina Ricci’s creative director, Peter Copping is stepping down from the role.

The spring/summer 2015 collection has been revealed as the designer’s last for the fashion house. He will be moving on to a lead design role at Oscar de la Renta.

Ralph Toledano, President of luxury conglomerate Puig (parent company of Ricci), has commented upon Copping’s departure, stating: ‘His vision has been a major factor in the relaunch of the brand.’

What’s next for Nina Ricci? It’s rumoured that Peter Copping’s successor will be Carven’s creative director, Guillaume Henry.

And so, the torch is passed.
