Sponsorship recipients announced

Fashion East grad, Ashley Williams (whose humour-heavy, 80s Americana influenced designs were worn by Pixie Geldof for her ELLE UK cover shoot) has today been announced as one of eight emerging talents who will receive Newgen sponsorship to showcase their spring/summer 2015 collections.

Only just contemplating your autumn/winter purchases? Digesting cruise and basking in the wave of magical luxury that is couture? Us too. But the creative cogs are ever-turning in the fashion industry and today the British Fashion Council’s announcement has turned our thoughts to SS15.

1205, Lucas Nascimento, Marques’Almeida, Claire Barrow, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz and Ryan Lo are the other brands named in the group to receive funding.

Historically, Newgen (sponsored by Topshop) has been a launch pad for gamechanging, mega-watt talents: the list of previous recipients includes Alexander McQueen, Christopher Kane, Erdem, Jonathan Saunders, J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou, Roksanda Ilincic and Simone Rocha.
