Since it was founded in 2011, the British Fashion Council’s mentoring and financial initiative, The Fashion Trust, has supported designers who have gone on to become household names (think Christopher Kane, Peter Pilotto, and Jonathan Saunders) – and this year is no different.

This year’s recipients of grants totalling £215,000 have been announced as House of Holland, Mary Katrantzou, Richard Nicoll, Michael van der Ham, Emilia Wickstead, Zoë Jordan, Osman and Todd Lynn.

As well as the financial award, the winning designers will receive business mentoring covering brand strategy, consumer insight, trend forecasting and even copyright law from a network of specialist advisors.

We can't wait to see how the boost translates on the catwalks.
