‘It is great to see my work on such a huge platform. It still really excites me,’ designer Hasan Hejazi told us somewhat breathlessly this morning, having seen Jessie J take to the stage at London’s iTunes festival last night in one of his bespoke outfits. ‘To see my creation combined with, music, lights, a screaming audience and a superstar performer… It’s something I doubt will ever get old.’

Hejazi should know: this isn’t the first time he’s dressed the megastar former ELLE cover star, and his roster of clients also boasts Kylie Minogue, Paloma Faith, Cheryl Cole and Marina Diamandis. Abbey Clancy is the face of his autumn/winter 2014 lookbook.

But we digress.

‘It is a very clean, sporty yet sexy look,’ he says of the layered creation, which evolved along with the set-list. ‘We added silk satin trims with the tuxedo stripe to give a luxury element. The colour white is in keeping with Jessie's Alive album artwork, which has a very minimal feel.

‘Jessie knows what she likes so it makes things a lot easier when creating the final look. She has a great energy too, which is lovely to be around.’

Next on his star hitlist? Madonna, Cate Blanchett and Rihanna.

And he hasn’t forgotten us mere mortals, either.

‘In the near future I will be launching a small range of easy-to-wear collections that are more accessible and affordable for a customer who wants to have a Hasan Hejazi piece in her wardrobe,’ he confides.
