Lily Allen has been announced as the latest addition to the H&M Design Jury panel. Alongside H&M's creative head of design, Ann-Sofie Johansson, the panel comprises fashion insiders Luella Bartley, Tommy Ton, Angelo Flaccavento, Justin O’Shea, Lucinda Chambers and Margareta van den Bosch.

Allen first enchanted the fashion world back in 2009, when she simultaneously popped up on our October cover and serenaded attendees of the Paris show. Ditching her trademark ball-gown-and-high-tops look in favour of grown up Miu Miu tea dresses (or Vivienne Westwood as seen here), Allen has carved a reputation for being just as fearless in fashion as she is in her lyrics.

The Hard Out Here singer went on to grace ELLE three more times (most recently for our March cover earlier this year), and will now cast her sartorial eye over the entires of the eight budding designers, helping to choose the winner of the fourth edition of the prize. The eight finalists include Magdalena Brozda (Geneva University Of Art And Design), Andreas Eklöf (Swedish School Of Textiles), Graham Fan (Central Saint Martins, London), Andrea Jiapei Li (Parsons, New York) James Kelly (The Royal College Of Art, London), Leonard Kocic (Beckmans College Of Design, Sweden), Ximon Lee (Parsons, New York) and Fiona O’Neill (Central Saint Martins, London).

Results will be revealed in January on 27th, 2015, and the lucky recipient will design a collaboration with the Swedish retail giant, as well as hosting a catwalk show Stockholm Fashion Week and earning a cash prize of €50,000 (about £40,000). The winner will also receive mentoring and the chance to develop pieces from their winning collection to be sold in selected H&M stores and online.
