Mick Jagger has established a fashion scholarship in remembrance of his late partner, designer L’Wren Scott, who died last year.

The Rolling Stones front man will cover the cost of tuition and living expenses at London's Central Saint Martins for one the new generation of young fashion talent.

Scott, who dated Jagger for 13 years, commited suicide last year amid rumours that her own-name fashion label – beloved of the likes of Nicole Kidman, Naomi Campbell and Sarah Jessica Parker – was heavily in debt and on the verge of closure.

While the monetary value of Jagger’s scholarship is unknown, course director Fabio Piras has said that he's ‘very grateful to receive this extremely generous scholarship package’.
