New York based, Thai born designer Panichgul, dropped into the ELLE Fashion Cupboard this week on his flying visit to London.  He talked to us about his label turning 10, his pre-fall 2015 collection and his brand new line of handbags (spoiler alert: they're brilliant), and then we asked him these all-important five questions.

What item would be in your fantasy fashion cupboard?

Many vintage men’s watches, a constant supply of custom-made white shirts and 10 timeless suits.

If you weren't a fashion designer, what would you be?

A classical musician. I played the clarinet and piano when I was younger but I’d love to play an instrument really well.

What is your number one source of creative inspiration?

Vintage books. I have an ever-expanding library that I look through for random illustrations and pictures.

The fashion item you most want to buy at the moment is...?

A great, classic men’s coat. I’ve never had one – I’ve always worn something that’s more sporty.

What is your motto?

Live in the present.
