Following the fifth anniversary of the death of Alexander McQueen, it has been announced a new theatre production based on the designer's life will run at the St James Theatre in London.

Taking inspiration from McQueen's imaganative runway shows, the play will explore “the visionary imagination and dark dream world” of McQueen and will tell the story of a girl who breaks into McQueen's apartment with the hopes of stealing a dress.

It is reported the play has the full backing of the McQueen family and McQueen's sister Janet has described the script as “true to his spirit”.

The play will run from the 12th May - 6th June at the St Jame's Theatre, London.
