Fashion is once more showing its philanthropic side, with the announcement today that Calvin Klein is to present the first ever Save The Children benefit gala in New York.
Taking place on 1 October at A-list lunch hangout Cipriani, it is thought that guests at the glittering event will include high-profile Save the Children supporters Hillary Clinton and Jennifer Garner - recipients of the National Legacy Award and National Child Advocate Award respectively.
The host for the evening will be former First Daughter, Jenna Bush Hager, who will present a short film about the charitys work, produced by Garner.
Mark Shriver, of Save the Children, said, 'With nearly 1 in 4 children in the United States living in poverty today, there is an even greater urgency for increased investments in high-quality early learning programs. The gala will shine a spotlight on this need and, we hope, inspire Americans from all walks of life to take action.'
