Kanye West name checked everyone from Phoebe Philo to , Jay Z penned a tribute to and now Lady Gaga is the latest pop artist to pay homage to a designer – her upcoming album features a track entitled ‘Donatella’.

Gaga is a huge fan and she and Donatella Versace have worked together closely over the past few years – Donatella designed the costumes for the singer’s last tour.

‘The song is an incredible crazy fun pop song with really raising electronic beats that I did with [producer] Zedd’, she told Just Jared. ‘It’s about being a fearless female and not caring what people say about you – being proud of who you are and walking the walk no matter what.’

Continuing the love in, Donatella emailed a response, saying ‘I would like to thank Gaga for her geniality, creativity, incredible talent and super bitchiness. I am honored to be her friend and of course I love the song!’

The track will appear on ‘ARTPOP’, set for release in November but we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a catwalk preview in Milan next month.
