Alexis Mabille, Sister by Sibling and Michael van der Ham have been announced as the latest designers to join the new season Swarovski Designer Collective. The line-up for the spring/summer 2014 initiative was released today, and features 13 talents in total across all four fashion capitals.
Other noteworthy names on the list include Prabal Gurung, Rodarte, Mary Katrantzou, Giles and Huishan Zhang. Hand-picked for their cutting edge talent and ability to demonstrate exquisite craftsmanship with crystal.
The annual creative was conceived following Nadja Swarovski's collaboration with Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow in 1999 to provide a creative platform for designers to experiment with Swarovski crystal, as well as financial support towards their show.
Swarovski is delighted to be working with some of the most exceptional emerging and established talents this season, said Nadja. Our collaborations result in extraordinary experimentation within the fashion world and we are excited to see how each designer will use their artistry to explore the infinite creative potential of Swarovski crystal.
The programme has supported over 150 designers since its launch including Balenciaga, Viktor & Rolf and Christopher Kane.
