Cindy Crawford Is Working On A Show About The '80s Modelling World

The costumes are sure to be insane

In the 1980s, the cutthroat world of modelling was so juicy and dramatic, it could have been fictional. And now, it will be, thanks to one of the most famous supermodels of all time.

Variety reports that Cindy Crawford is working on a fictional TV series for NBC called Icon, written by Robin Bissell, who executive produced The Hunger Games. The plot focuses on the battle between Elite Model Management and Ford Modelling Agency, so hiring a writer from The Hunger Games seems like a great fit.

Sadly, Crawford won't show up as a character on the series, only working behind the scenes as a producer, alongside Anne Heche and James Tupper. The story will be completely fictional, so don't expect Naomi Campbell or Brooke Shields walking around on each episode. But given Crawford's experience in that world, it's sure to borrow from history quite a bit.

In the perfect world, this show would be a campy mix of Dynasty andEmpire, with an extra dose of fashion. Here's hoping there are plenty of GIF-friendly catwalk moments.
