You can always rely on the FROWs of New York, London, Milan and Paris to catapult a must-have accessory into the fashion stratosphere.
And if we didn’t know it already (they have been swooned over in the #ELLEFashionCupboard for months now), then the recent shows, with their carousel of forever-stylish, designer-dipped women, have confirmed our suspicions: these boots are major.
What is it that makes us want them so much? Is that they were the original sock-boot that kick-started a whole new footwear trend (not to be confused with the sock-sandal combo, FYI)? Maybe it’s that they just go so well with those cropped kick-flares and ankle-skimming dresses we’ve been bulk-buying of late. Or maybe it’s the pleasingly chunky Perspex heel set against second-skin shiny patent leather, which not only looks so-now, but also makes them (relatively) easy to walk in. Add to that the dreamy colour combinations of neon pink and grey and navy and black and caramel and gold and we’re totally hooked. Need we say more?
Here’s proof of their stratospheric It-boot status, should you need it.
Further proof below, as seen at Milan Fashion Week.
Yet more proof.
Perhaps it’s the fact they're sold out everywhere that makes them so desirable? And with that in mind, we must get back to the SS16 shows and deciding the It-accessory that will steal our hearts next season.
