Giorgio Armani has partnered with the BFI London Film Festival to release four short films. Films of City Frames premiered on Monday, with the preview hosted by Dame Helen Mirren and Roberta Armani, the fashion legend’s niece.

The films were created by four international film schools and feature eyewear from the Giorgio Armani Frames of Life collection. The initiative is designed to support emerging talent in cinema. The screening was followed by a panel discussion, led by journalist Tim Blanks and students from the participating schools.

‘Thanks to the inspiration and guidance of the remarkable Mr. Giorgio Armani, we of the older generation can mentor and help the creativity of today's young filmmakers,’ said Mirren at the panel.

Giorgio Armani added, ‘The success of the first edition of short films, which was presented in 2014 at the Toronto International Film Festival, convinced me to pursue the initiative and to offer another great opportunity to young talents who are not yet known and established.’
