Today, the British Fashion Council announced the eight emerging designers who will receive support from the NEWGEN fashion initiative and get to showcase their AW16 designs at London Fashion Week in February.

The lucky and deserving few are: Drumroll… Ashley Williams, Claire Barrow, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz, Marta Jakubowski, Molly Goddard, and Sadie Williams.

The Topshop-sponsored launchpad will help rocket these young designers into the international spotlight and help them create those all-important networks within the industry.

Ashley Williams and Ryan Lo will showcase their designs on the catwalk, while the rest of the NEWGEN eight will present static installations of their wares. They join the ranks of previous NEWGEN winners; an enviable list of graduates including Christopher Kane, J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou and Alexander McQueen.

Also, for those of you who are particularly hungry for the Next Big Thing, be on full alert for recent Westminster fashion graduate, Roberta Einer: The NEWGEN committee selected her as the One-To-Watch for this season.

Congratulations NEWGENs!
