Adele's show of support follows Taylor Swift's $250,000 donation to Kesha, gifted to 'help with any of her financial needs during this trying time'.

Kesha is currently fighting to be allowed out of her record contract with Kemosabe Records, which is owned by Sony but created and run by producer Dr Luke, whom Kesha claims drugged and raped her when she was 18-years-old. She further claims that she was sexually and psychologically abused by Dr Luke for years after that.

On February 19, Kesha's legal request for an injuction that would allow her to continue recording music outside of her contract with Dr Luke was denied by a New York Supreme Court judge.

Other industry figures to publicly support Kesha so far include Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Lorde and Snoop Dogg, amongst others.
