A selection of photographs of supermodel and all-round style icon Kate Moss will be auctioned in September. The images, assembled by a German collector, are thought to be worth around £1m. The collection features photos by Mario Sorrenti, Sam Taylor-Wood and Mario Testino.

The sale will also include a Jacquard tapestry by Chuck Close and an 18-carat gold sculpture of Kate as a naked angel by Nick Knight.

The works will be sold at Christie’s auction house in September. Christie’s director of photographs, Philippe Garner, called Kate ‘the greatest icon of style of the modern age’, and we’re inclined to agree. It’s a shame we don’t have a spare million lying around, or we’d be first in the queue.
