Rihanna has launched a Global Scholarship Program through her Clara Lionel Foundation, she announced this morning.
The scholarship will help pay for the tuition of citizens/natives of Brazil, Barbados (where RiRi's from), Cuba, Haiti, Grenada, Guyana, or Jamaica planning to go to college in the U.S. Awards range from $5,000 to $50,000 and can be renewed for up to three additional years...so basically, Rihanna could give you a full ride.
"Scholarship finalists are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an outside appraisal," the site breaks it down. "Financial need is not considered." Applications are due June 10 for this year's scholarship. Thank RiRi then.
