This morning, the upcoming SS17 London Fashion Week schedule appeared in inboxes across the fashion industry. But with the business going through so many wide-ranging changes, what can we expect from the London shows?

1. VERSUS VERSACE IS BACK IN LONDON

Having shown in our hometown back in September 2015, Versace's little sister brand will return exactly a year after it left for its SS17 show. As most will know, the label's former creative director Anthony Vaccarello has since jumped ship to Saint Laurent - his replacement remains to be seen.

2. BURBERRY WILL PRESENT MENSWEAR AND WOMENSWEAR AT THE SAME SHOW

We've known that Burberry are slowly moving towards the see-now-buy-now model for a while, and what better way to do away with traditional seasons than combining menswear and womenswear collections in a single show? They're also showing in the evening instead of their usual early afternoon slot - it's all change here.

3. MM6 MAISON MARGIELA IS ALSO BACK IN LONDON

Much like Versus Versace, the directional diffusion line will be back in London exactly a year after they left us for New York. We'll obviously have forgiven them as soon as we see the collection.

4. THERE'S A NEW NEWGEN RECIPIENT

As it's often what keeps the schedule so fresh with its influx of emerging talent, NEWGEN is one of the best things about London Fashion Week. Its newest recipient is German designer Paula Knorr. Google her and you'll see why we're so excited.

5. PREVIOUS NEWGEN RECIPIENTS ARE MOVING UP THE LADDER

We'll miss her idiosyncratic presentations, but we're elated Molly Goddard has finally got herself a catwalk slot along with her contemporaries Huishan Zhang, Teatum Jones and Sharon Wauchob. The universe is as it should be.
