There’s nothing like a sneak preview of Tom Ford’s new-season ad campaign pinging into your inbox to cheer up a cloudy Thursday – especially when the master of the shock is on top form.

For the comic book-inspired collection, which is the first Ford has shown on the catwalk in several seasons – and in London, no less – is brought to life via models Soo Joo, Zuzanna Bijoch, Gem and Herieth Paul. Ford shot the images personally, again in London.

Reporting on the show in February, ELLE’s Rebecca Lowthorpe wrote: ‘The overall effect was of a decadence that could only possibly be enjoyed by the world’s most wealthy. They will surely love his monochrome section of patchworked furs and leathers with long swishing fringes, or the ‘sportswear’ – loosely termed – that included multi-bright floral beaded ‘hoodies’.

‘As for the knee-high heeled boots, that came with almost every look and were lavished with every conceivable luxury material imaginable – only the limo-driven need apply.’

The good news for those of us who can’t afford to go full-look? Apparently, the recommended way to style it is half-body only, anyway.
