He’s been immortalised as a Simpson, a Smurf and now, Karl Lagerfeld is digitally transformed into a Tokidoki-style cartoon character.

Following a brief cameo in Grand Theft Auto in 2008, now a cartoon Karl appears in his very own video game, developed to promote his sunglasses line with French eyewear distributor Optic 2000. The objective is to remove Lagerfeld’s signature black shades. Rapid clicking is required as the Chanel courtier thwarts efforts with his sprightly moves and taunting jibes.

The online game gives French residents the chance to win free Lagerfeld sunglasses or limited-edition Tokidoki figurines.

While we can’t win a prize, anyone with a computer, tablet or smartphone can play at jeveuxleslunettesdekarl.com – or buy the collection via the e–store of Optic 2000 that launched last year.

Play at your peril, however: fail the game and 'Karl has no more time for you.'
