The new Saint Laurent is coming. There's less than two weeks to go until it hits the runway at Paris Fashion Week on September 27th, but we have been afforded a glimpse of what to expect to keep us going until the full collection is unveiled.

The first image from the SS17 campaign shows model Anja Rubik in a high-cut embellished bodysuit and denim jacket as she poses by the Parisian waterside. It promises a nod to what's to come 'crossing the references to the heritage of the Yves Saint Laurent fashion house, juxtaposing leather, jewels
and lace, drawing a femininity without frills, rooted in paradoxes, a sensuality tied to the body.'

It is the first collection under the creative directorship of Anthony Vaccarello, the relatively unknown Italian-Belgian designer who was announced as Hedi Slimane's successor in April.

What also becomes clear is Vaccarello's decision to maintain his predecessor Hedi Slimane's decision to remove 'Yves' from the name of the house's ready-to-wear collections.

Photographed by husband-and-wife duo Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin, the full  campaign will debut in magazines from later this month.
