Photographer Fumi Nagasaka is launching her first book, named Untitled Youth.
"Untitled Youth" is Fumi's personal project, a series of portraits of youth in different cities. It portrays the photographers ongoing journey, seeking the unexpected beauty of youth, wanting to capture a moment that is special and pure.
Mostly from the streets of New York, Berlin, England and Stockholm, she found the kids in the book through her everyday life and her personal friendships.
For every person in the book, Fumi chose them because they were able to portray a rare sense of purity and honesty, which is a typical theme in Fumi's photography.
Fumi Nagasaka is a New York based photographer, born in Nagoya, Japan. While spending time in NY and travelling Europe, Fumi works on her personal project and shoots for fashion magazines like Dazed & Confused, AnOther or Elle.
Known as well for her street casting, Fumi Nagasaka's photography balances the line between street, subcultue and the artifice of fashion.
The book launched in Paris on Sunday.
