is set to be the subject of a retrospective at Londons Design Museum later this year.
Hello, My Name is Paul Smith will open its doors on 15 November. And its not just a tribute to the very British designer the man himself has also helped to curate it.
The exhibition sounds like it will be incredible. It will chart Paul Smiths history, from his modest first store in Nottingham to the international fashion brand that he heads up now, plus his love of everything from bicycles (he dreamed of being a professional cyclist, dont you know) to traditional tailoring.
As well as showing off highlights from his past collections, the museum will recreate Pauls office, complete with the eclectic mix of books and objects that inspire him, and the original Paul Smith store. And youll be able to hear recordings of Pauls thoughts and views too.
And if a visit to the exhibition doesnt satiate your love for all things Paul Smith, a coffee table book will also be released by Rizzoli to coincide with the opening.
