Carrie Bradshaw was a woman seemingly born in stilettos. Teetering around Manhattan in a pink taffeta tutu, she nimbly dodged traffic and effortlessly pranced through the city streets in six in Jimmy Choos. Now, 15 years after the era-defining sitcom premiered on HBO, Sarah Jessica Parker is designing her own line of shoes, along with bags and trench coats.

Stripped of the feathers and crystals that near-banrupted Bradshaw in her 90s heyday, SJP has been looking to heritage brands like Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon for inspiration. With a little help from George Malkemus, CEO of Manolo Blahnik, the range includes classic pumps and flats. Parker was previously president and chief creative officer at Halston Heritage.

Launching exclusively at Nordstrom early next year, the price for shoes will hover around the $200 mark, and bags will likely sell for under $700.
