For those of us devastated by the loss of Meadham Kirchoff to the British fashion scene – we have wonderful news. One half of the iconic duo, Edward Meadham, returns today with a collection available exclusively at Dover Street Market.
Meadham is keen to emphasise the new collection's difference from Meadham Kirchhoff: "This is not Meadham Kirchhoff. It is not a collection with a huge grandiose theme or story, no elaborate or delicate frocks." Yet it does share the same bold, irreverent sensibility. The collection's name, Blue Roses, is a metaphor for finding strength in otherness, defiance over weakness.
The collection is artful and conceptual but wearable. "It is just some stuff that can be worn on a daily basis in the real world, chucked in the washing machine and worn again" Meadham says. Hoodies and t-shirts feature prints inspired by Riot Grrrl zines and old Hole flyers. Even more excitingly, prices start from just £48.00.
Blue Roses is available today at Dover Street Market London and the Dover Street Market E-Shop.
