Over the years, Chanel has presented its pre-fall collection in Rome, London, Shanghai, and Edinburgh, but for yesterday's 2017 show, the brand returned home to Paris. Staged at the Ritz, designer Karl Lagerfeld showed the Paris Cosmopolite collection to an audience of international show-goers including musician G-Dragon, actress Gwei Lun Mei, and actor Johnny Depp. Revamped skirt suits, sequin crop tops, hot pink over-the-knee boots, and fringe gowns made their way down the runway, worn by models whose heads were topped with floral and lavender crowns. Read on for four things to know about yesterday's Chanel show.

Willow Smith performed an acoustic set for the crowd before the show took place. According to WWD she sang "November 9," a song she wrote as a reaction to Donald Trump's election as president.

Cara Delevingne and Pharrell may have walked the show, but they weren't the only big name models in the bunch. Sofia Richie, Lily-Rose Depp, Lindsey Wixson, and (of course) seven-year-old Hudson Kroenig also participated in the show.

The show took place at the newly remodeled Ritz Paris. Staged like a bustling restaurant at lunch, models danced and weaved their way through the seated "patrons" to a soundtrack which obviously included "Puttin' on the Ritz."

While models were adorned with flowers and rocked layers of pearls the fashion-crowd will most likely covet, the standout accessory of the season will be the patent lace-up heels in black, gold, and white.
