According to Forbes, the above-pictured 59.6-carat "Pink Star" diamond is set to break the world record for Most Expensive Diamond Sold Ever Throughout All of Space and Time.

The oval-cut stone will make its second auction appearance April 4 at Sotheby's Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite sale. The first time the diamond was sold in 2013, it went for $83 million (which remains the most ever bid on a diamond), but the buyer — diamond cutter Isaac Wolf — defaulted on the purchase, leaving Sotheby's to buy it back for its approximate estimated value of $60 million. Today, the auction house says the stone is worth at least $72 mil.

Per Aol., this is the largest internally flawless fancy vivid pink diamond the Geological Institute of America has ever graded. Still, the institute says the stone is small enough (lol) to fit on a ring.

Christie's currently holds the record for auctioning the world's most expensive diamond. CNBC reports a 14.6-carat "Oppenheimer Blue" diamond that sold for $57.5 million last year has that title, but Sotheby's expects the Pink Star to far surpass its value.
