Viktor and Rolf are making an Haute Couture comeback.

The avant garde design duo – whose aesthetic is perfectly in line with couture's exquisite fantasy – will show their first collection in 13 years during the July Haute Couture shows in Paris.

The Chambre Syndicale, French fashion’s governing body, today confirmed to WWD that the Dutch duo had been voted in as a ‘correspondent member’ of the schedule last week – although it’s not yet known whether they’ll be holding a blow-out catwalk show or a smaller, more intimate presentation.

Either way, their return cranks the excitement factor ahead of the shows up another notch, following last week’s announcement that Christian Lacroix will create a one-off capsule collection of 15 couture dresses to mark the long-awaited relaunch of the house of Schiaparelli.
