Does anyone else get that sickening feeling in their stomach when they have the sudden realisation they may have lost a prized piece of jewellery or a favourite dress, and will then have to stay up the majority of the night searching and worrying about said treasure?

Like Carrie Bradshaw when she lost that name necklace in Paris?

Well, that's the exact kind of turmoil actress Emma Watson is going through at the moment, after posting an urgent appeal for fans to find three 'special' rings she lost at a London hotel on Sunday.

Over the weekend, the 27-year-old took to Facebook to explain she left the meaningful pieces of silver jewellery in a safe at the Mandarin Oriental spa and forgot to pick them up when she left.

On returning to find the rings she found they were gone, despite security's efforts to find them.

The Beauty And The Beast star revealed her mother bought one of the rings (on the far left of the above photo) the day after she was born and gave it to her on her 18th birthday.

'Were these just any rings I could accept this, but one of them was a gift from my Mum.

'I wear this ring every day, it is my most meaningful and special possession,' she added.

The Harry Potter star asked fans: 'If anyone was at the Mandarin Oriental Spa on Sunday from 3pm onwards and saw the rings or accidentally picked them up or knows anything about them, I cannot express how much it would mean to me if they came back to me - no questions asked.'

Grab your wands guys, we're off to find those rings!
