If you're in the market for an unnecessarily extravagant buy, then Raf Simons is your man this week. The designer is now selling top-of-the-range duct tape, which is going for a cool £155 a roll.

The tape was first seen on Simons' menswear catwalk for autumn/winter 2017 and was used not to wrap boxes, but in place of a belt, taping up oversized white coats and tweed blazers.

He is not the only menswear designer to have tapped into the unexpected tape trend either. Peter Jensen has also created some designer duct tape. His is decorated with rabbits and comes at the much more affordable price of £15 a roll.

This news comes just a month after Prada released a £140 paper clip, much to the dismay of Twitter, and after Balenciaga reimagined Ikea's 40p take-home tote into a £1,125 handbag.
