If Alexander Wang brought the cool (hello Kendall, Kaia and Bella) to New York Fashion week last night, Philipp Plein most certainly brought the bling.

Some might sniff at the German designer's bedazzled furs and ex-con models — but that's precisely the point. 'We like just the right amount of wrong,' he told the New York Post on the eve of Saturday's show at the Hammerstein ballroom. 'Just because fashion is a big business doesn't mean that it has to be stiff and serious.'

Just the 'right' amount of wrong amounts to, well, throwing one the most extravagant of fashion week parties. And that's before his runway had even started.

Dita Von Teese kicked off the show with a sparkly burlesque performance, slinging off her disco-ball heels before swirling around in giant martini glass prop.

Once the runway started, rapper Future provided the soundtrack. The clothes - if you could pay attention for long enough - showed both women's and men's under the theme 'Good Gone Bad.' Models including Adriana Lima and Leomie Anderson waltzed down the runway in looks featuring variations of his recurrent logo: a ball-gagged and bonded Alice in Wonderland.

Then came Teyana Taylor's (second) show-stopping performance of New York Fashion week.

The model sure knows how to close a runway:

Everyone from Rae Sremmurd to Nicki Minaj (who performed at the after party) and Fifth Harmony were in the room.

An over-the-top, ridiculously expensive spectacle? You expect no less than from Plein.
