ELLE’s pyjama party profits

We raised over £1000 for Comic Relief

Not only did ELLE so love wearing our pyjamas to work for Red Nose Day that we were sad to be back in proper clothes today, but – thanks to you – we also smashed our £1000 fundraising target.

At the last count, we’d banked £1215 to go towards the incredible work Comic Relief does to support vulnerable people both in the UK and abroad. That’s 121% of our target. And it’s not too late to add to our final tally – simply click here to donate to Team ELLE.

We reckon we’ve earned it. Not only did we wear our favourite PJs to ELLE Towers on Friday, we were featured in the Evening Standard and even went to meetings in them. Special mention goes to fashion features director Rebecca Lowthorpe, who went to an appointment at Chanel dressed in a Primark monkey onesie. (Yes, really.)

All of ELLE’s fashion friends got in on the act, too: from PRs wearing sleepwear out and about in London to David Gandy and his Blue Steel Appeal and Jessie J shaving her head, it was definitely one to remember. The total for this year’s event as a whole currently stands at an incredible £75,107,851.

We couldn’t have contributed to it without you. So, again, thank you.

Now the question on everyone’s lips here is: how are we going to be able to wait until next year to do it all again?
