Last week, ELLE reported that Christopher Bailey's final hurrah at Burberry would see him dedicate the fashion house's AW18 collection to LGBTQ.

'My final collection here at Burberry is dedicated to — and in support of — some of the best and brightest organisations supporting LGBTQ+ youth around the world,' Bailey said in a press release that was written, appropriately, in rainbow coloured text.

And he most certainly delivered. The Burberry show, which took place in Westfield, was a vibrant explosion of colour, rainbows and - above all - diversity.

Model-activist Adwoa Aboah opened the show in a graffiti print fleece hoodie, which contrasted her rainbow covered skirt below and set the vibe for the night: young, fun and effortlessly cool.

While there was no live performance, models walked down the runway to eighties power-tracks, like 'Don't Leave Me This Way' by The Communards. It was also a celeb-filled do, naturally, with the likes of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Naomi Watts, Zendaya, Lily Rose and Sienna Miller taking their place front row.

The show itself was rife with in-your-face rainbow stripes as well as brightly colourful knits. There was a chunky sweater, pastel-coloured patchwork windbreakers, pleated kilts, rainbow shawls, head-to-toe orange tracksuits and an equally eye-catching orange high vis-esque jacket.

Perhaps the most show-stopping look of the night was worn by Cara Delevingne. The model closed the show in a dramatic (fake fur) rainbow cape.

The show was a tribute to LGBTQ youth, and dedicated to organisations supporting around the world, which people on Twitter were quick to appreciate:

Christopher saved a surprise for his guests in the form of a laser show finale, lighting the room in all the hues of the rainbow.
