When we heard that Leandra Medine - aka the Man Repller - had been invited to 'colour' a bag exclusively for Net-a-Porter, we were interested.
Then we saw the resulting Marché tote, and thought - we've got to get this girl on the phone. So we did.

What is your favourite bag of all time?
Excluding the Marché, I really, really like an Olympia Le Tan book clutch I received as a gift last year - it's a light blue Jane Eyre cover.

I just need one: cool.
What was the first handbag you ever bought?
A little leather bag from a vendor at a NYC street fair.
What are the three most unexpected things we would find in your handbag?
Everything that's in there, you'd expect. I only take around my keys, a wallet, a cell phone and a chapstick. I guess there are also tampons sprinkled into almost all my bags. Oh! And actually, I thought I'd lost a pair of my favourite sandals by but I discovered on Sunday that they were actually inside one of my bags.
