watches are a favourite in the fashion world (there are dozens on Team ELLE wrists alone) and now he's turning their phenomenal success into a way to raise money for charity.

Two new designs will raise funds for the Michael Kors Watch Hunger Stop campaign.

The NY-based label is to unveil the unisex timepieces in March, part of its link-up with the United Nations World Food Programme. For every watch sold, 100 hungry children in over 70 countries around the world will be fed.

‘I am so proud to be joining the World Food Programme in one of the greatest global fights of our time–the battle to end hunger,’ says Kors, who donated $5 million to a New York food charity in October.

‘Over the years, I’ve had the great fortune of travelling the world and experiencing new cultures and people. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that millions of people all over the world are struggling to feed themselves, and their families, everyday. I want to lend my voice and my efforts to this international cause.’

In addition to launching new products to raise funds, the brand will also aim to raise awareness of the global food crisis. Look out for ‘notable figures from the worlds of fashion, film and music’ getting involved across its social media channels from later this month.
