Whistles is throwing its hat into the London Fashion Week ring, announcing that it will show – off-schedule – for the first time during the upcoming February LFW.

The catwalk presentation is to be an ‘intimate, salon-style’ affair showcasing the brand’s premium Limited Edition range, along with edited pieces from the core collection.

‘I am delighted and excited that Whistles will be debuting at London Fashion Week,’ Jane Shepherdson told ELLE this morning. ‘It has always been our intention to take the brand in this direction and gives us an ideal platform to showcase the collection to international press and buyers as well as the UK press that have shown us such fantastic support over the past five years.’

The move sees Whistles join Topshop, LFW’s longest-serving high street label, and River Island – which will showcase its first collection by Rihanna on the LFW catwalk – in claiming a place for high street brands during the high fashion season.

The Whistles show will take place on Sunday, 17 February, in an as-yet unnamed central London location ‘reflective of the brand’s ethos’.
