Last year Harvey Nichols showed us how to do the walk of shame in style with their much-watched Christmas advert. This year, the department store tackles another festive faux pas; the 'same dress disaster'.
Its happened to all of us: you turn up to the party of the year and someones wearing the same outfit. Cue the awkward laugh and a quick glass of wine or three to forget your woes.
The women in this short film take things slightly more seriously however they also seem to have sci-fi super powers so what starts as an awkward eye-meet across the room quickly dissolves into a full-scale fight that wouldn't look out of place in Star Wars.
We wanted to remind people that a potential disaster could be averted by taking the time to find a truly unique and beautiful dress in-store at Harvey Nichols,' says marketing director Julia Bowe.
And for those that were worried about the fate of the characters caught in the crossfire during the battle the store includes this helpful disclaimer:
'No humans or animals were harmed during the making of this film. Harvey Nichols does not condone hedonistic nor reckless behaviour...unless it involves losing ones mind in our fabulous stores. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!'
