Paris fashion house, Balenciaga and its creative director Nicolas Ghesquière have announced that they are to end their partnership
The full statement says; The Balenciaga fashion house and Nicolas Ghesquière have announced their joint decision to end their working relationship as of 30 November 2012.
The brands owners, luxury conglomerate PPR have also released a quote from their chairman and Chief Executive, François-Henri Pinault who said; Cristóbal Balenciaga was a master, a genius whose avant-garde vision dictated fashions greatest trends and inspired generations of designers. With an incomparable creative talent, Nicolas has brought to Balenciaga an artistic contribution essential to the unique influence of the house.
Nicolas Ghesquière has been the Creative Director of Balenciaga since 1997, where he has garnered rave reviews for his pioneering ready-to-wear collections as well as working with carefully selected celebrities such as Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kristen Stewart to bring the brand and its fragrances; Balenciaga Paris, LEssence and Florabotanica - to a global audience.
