The annual Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize, which is a £24,000 prize awarded to an up and coming fashion designer to help them on their way to business success – has been presented in Paris to French design duo, Augustin Teboul.

The designers are German-born Annelie Augustin and French Odély Teboul, and their work is characterised by a Gothic, otherworldly charm, plentiful texture and embellishment, and any colour you like, as long as it is black.

Both graduated with honors at Esmod Paris in 2006. Subsequently Annelie worked for for Adidas and Odély for Jean Paul Gaultier and the duo showed their joint collection in 2009.

The designers did well to impress the august panel of fashion heavyweight judges, who included Kenzo Takada, founder of Kenzo; Bruno Frisoni, artistic director of Roger Vivier; Lorenz Baumer, designer of Louis Vuitton jewellery; and Nathalie Rykiel of the label Sonia Rykiel.

Said the winners of their latest accolade; It’s absolutely amazing, we’re overwhelmed by the result, we were so nervous to present in front of such a prestigious panel of judges whom we’ve always admired. We still can’t believe it,’
