Berlin was the inspiration for J. JS Lee's elegant SS13 collection. She referenced the cities historical architecture including the Berlin Wall, which took the form of a translucent brick pattern printed onto the front of a white column dress.

Sleek and minimal is her signature style, but this season saw muted shades, soft slate greys, nudes and midnight navy, as well as subtle prints interspersed into the collection, a move on from the stark white of last season.

Shift dresses and blazers were embossed with tromp l'oeil lapels and seams. Contrasting coloured collars were also a highlight.

Shapes were slender with clean silhouettes, but 50's voluminous full skirts made a surprise appearance in an otherwise streamlined collection.

Lee's sophisticated vision is focused and coherent, the perfect capsule wardrobe for the modern minimalist woman.
