Sister by Sibling’s rebellious knit wear storms the catwalk

Eye-popping explosion of neons, pom poms and gimp masks

‘Warrior in Woolworths’ was the theme for Sister by Sibling’s SS13 show. 'We like mutating classic, traditional knitwear designs or techniques… we have fun with knit,' say Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery, the trio behind Sibling.

Raffia trimmed pencil skirts, tiny sequined cocktail jackets, sequinned, floor length polo-shirt dresses and a giant Pom Pom coat worn with day glo knickers, sum up the ‘up yours’ (their words, not ours) attitude of the collection.

Models strutted defiantly with their faces shrouded in lace gimp masks. Colours were bright whites mixed with eye popping flouro pinks and yellow, add to that the punchy graphics, abstract leopard prints and sequins. This collection was oozing with attitude and all about having fun.

After only three seasons Sibling's bold and brazen signature knits are really demanding the fash packs attention.

Did anyone mention Boombox?!?
