It was a star-studded event that saw the doors of Windsor Castle opened to a glittering guestlist that included Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Cate Blanchett, Mario Testino and Emma Watson.

But the star guest of the night was without doubt , whose visit to London is a rare trip across the pond for the American designer.

The event marked an announcement from that he would be funding an entire breast cancer wing at the Royal Marsden Hospital.

The designer, who had a benign brain tumour removed 25 years ago, has donated millions to cancer research over the years and is already a benefactor to The Royal Marsen, donating proceeds from the UK sales of his Pink Pony range to the hospital.

Sadly, baby George and The Duchess of Cambridge weren’t present – the pair were taking a much-needed break from the limelight following their pap-tastic Royal Tour of New Zealand last month.
