The who’s who of the British fashion industry descended on the Savoy in London tonight for the announcement of the shortlisted nominees for the 2012 Vodafone British Fashion Awards.

From the biggest designer brands and the emerging labels to watch, to style icons creators and – the big one – Designer of the Year, come November 27, all will be revealed. But, for the mean time, here are this year’s nominees:
