Through the partnership, Vodafone will support , and the designer will devise a new way to use Vodafone technology to fashion ends. The to-be-conceived project will debut in February 2013 with Katrantzou’s AW13 show.

‘It won’t be a phone dress,’ Katrantzou told us at the launch event this morning, ‘but it will be something that really fuses fashion and technology.’

The new collaboration follows similar projects with and . In May 2011, Kane remade a fleet of London taxis in his blockbuster ‘galaxy’ print; the cars came complete with mobile charging units. In February this year, Nicoll introduced his project—a white leather handbag with phone recharging capability.

Vodafone also plans to reprise its front-row charging stations during the upcoming SS13 shows.
