Pets are in. The well-behaved dog (a German Shepherd we are assured) modelling Givenchy haute couture as well as Karl Lagerfeld’s ‘kittenspiration’ for the name of a dainty Chanel evening bag – the Choupette, named after his pampered pet cat of the same name.

Couples are in. Olivia Palermo with her adorable model other half Johannes Huebl were spotted at Valentino, Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson – a fixture on the international Chanel circuit were there and of course, the power couple du jour, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West who managed to cram in an astonishing number of couture shows.
