From Alexander McQueen’s sponsorship to Phoebe Philo browsing the art works, Frieze Art Fair has acquired some serious fashion credentials over the past few years. Now it’s taking the sartorial connection one step further and teaming up with Gap.

At next month’s fair in New York and the London leg in October, the American brand will join forces with architects Leong Leong to create a pop-up White Space. The idea? Visitors will be able to take advantage of a complimentary café and shop pieces created by Gap and art magazine, Visionaire.

In New York you’ll be able to buy a specially created capsule collection of 11 T-shirts printed with art works by the likes of Yoko Ono and Peter Lindbergh that, with a timely nod to the nineties, change colour in sunlight, while in London the theme will revolve around past and future issues of Visionaire.

As if we needed another excuse to book tickets.
