Worby will steer the etailer’s international expansion when he steps into the newly created role in July.

My-Wardrobe founder Sarah Curran, currently CEO, will become Chief Creative Officer and work alongside Worby on consumer-facing aspects of the six-year-old brand.

‘We are all incredibly excited about David’s appointment,’ Curran said in a statement. ‘It is an exciting time for the business and I look forward to working with him to build the brand, which I launched in 2006, into a global leader in the luxury fashion area.

‘David brings with him a wealth of luxury e-commerce experience and an ability to drive our ambitious plans for international expansion.’

Worby led ecommerce projects at Debenhams before moving to oversee Harrods’ online arm.
