Taking a selfie on the catwalk is so two months ago.

exported a touch of typical British humour to China last night as it feted the launch of its new Shanghai flagship store with the help of Cara Delevingne, an umbrella and a very slick technical operation.

Yep: Cara actually flew down the runway, in the manner of Mary Poppins.

The spectacle was part of a typically extravagant Burberry shindig that also included a – starring former ELLE cover girl Suki Waterhouse – and performances by George Ezra and Paloma Faith.

But what we’re really enjoying imagining this morning is just how different childhood would’ve been with Cara as our nanny. Standard issue beanies? Tea with Karl? A mandatory selfie before bed? Should the lure of modeling ever get old, there could be something in it for her…
