Carine sets a date for new mag launch

Carine Roitfeld has promised that we’ll get a glimpse at her new print project in September 2012.

The former French Vogue editor told WWD that she was flying to New York to work on the first issue last week (a move that also brings her closer to her children and grandbaby-to-be).

So what to expect? Roitfeld said the magazine will publish biannually and more closely resemble a book than a magazine. She’s lopping off the front-of-book section and will focus on ‘fashion with a lot of freedom.’

Other than that, we know that the Roitfeld Project will be in English, and reflect its founder’s ‘rock and roll’ aesthetic.
